Before the PS3 Slim was released, Sony thought about making it slimmer and utilizing network storage for the console. The first thought that entered my head was Sony’s patent for PS Cloud. With this, users could have their gaming profile live in the Cloud allowing them access their purchased movies, games, and save data from anywhere they sign-on to. This would also be a resolution to those locked game saves that some developers are so keen on setting.
I’ve talked about the Sony Ericsson Aino before and as it on the brink of being released for consumers, this is a handy reminder about a unique feature it supports. Like your PS3, you can use the Aino to remote play into your PS3 over wifi or 3g network to access videos, music, and photos on the go. Are you a developer looking to develop for the PSP, minis specifically? If so, Sony will be providing a discount on the Viscous game engine. This makes me wonder, what about the PubFund program? Will PSP developers have the option to use the Pub Fund for their games? Or will it only be for full retail releases?
