Giant Bomb takes a quick look of the God of War 3 demo that PS3 owners are starting to get their hands-on this weekend. To get your try at the demo, you must be randomly selected via email from Sony, purchase the God of War Collection which hits retails in Nov, or purchase the District 9 Blu-Ray movie.

So what if you were thinking that the God of War collection was cool but you will pass as you have way too many games to play. Let’s say on Dec 29th you were planning to pick up District 9 on Blu-Ray to watch at home on your PS3. Well, it appears that you will also be able to play the God of War 3 demo on the same disc as District 9 the movie. Imagine what else can happen if all Sony companies worked together.

Yes, I have played both titles. I have even replayed them in order after completing the PSP version. On Nov 17th, I will be playing them again, collecting trophies, and working myself up to the God of War 3 demo. Can you taste the blood?

This holiday season, you will have the pleasure of playing reworked God of War 1&2 in preparation for GOW3 release in March 2010. The developers at Bluepoint Games are behind this release and all you BC-less PS3 owners have no excuse as this collection will run you $40.

This makes me wonder if this will be the only release as such from Sony, or will we see more releases on PSN or retail such as ICO and SotC before the Last Guardian is released? Will this dual release include the extras the first two games had such as behind the scenes video?

I already own both games but this will be a day one purchase for me.

GDC09: What Games Will Be There?

GDC is approaching and we are starting to hear of some speakers who will be sharing their knowledge and maybe even glimpses at some of 2009′s most anticipated games such as God of War 3 and Uncharted 2. GDC isn’t just a place where developers can share their knowledge and best practice uses. It is also a place to unveil new games or much wanted sequels that have yet to otherwise be discussed or confirmed to be in existence by developers or publishers. It seems Mass Effect 2 has been confirmed. Now we will see Bioware’s new level creation process…

GDC will be taking place March 23-27, 2009.
