Before the PS3 Slim was released, Sony thought about making it slimmer and utilizing network storage for the console. The first thought that entered my head was Sony’s patent for PS Cloud. With this, users could have their gaming profile live in the Cloud allowing them access their purchased movies, games, and save data from anywhere they sign-on to. This would also be a resolution to those locked game saves that some developers are so keen on setting.

Looks like we will have to keep waiting.
